Friends of Caddington Village School
Our parents, teachers and their families come together to make a huge difference to our school.
Who we are and what we do
The Friends of Caddington Village School are a volunteer group of parents and staff working together to:
- Raise extra funds for the school through social events and other activities
- Encourage parents to become more involved with the school community
- Promote greater links between home and school
The funds we raise help provide new facilities and resources which cannot be catered for in the existing school budget. These can be as small as some new outdoor benches, or as large as raising additional funds for the refurbishment of the school changing rooms "Its Pants" initiative.
Building community by working together
The Association involves all sectors of the school community (parents, staff, governors, students) in the act of raising funds to improve the school and in doing so, helps build a genuine sense of community.
‘I joined the PTA many years ago because I wanted to say thanks and give something back to the school. It gives me great satisfaction when you can assess the success of an event by the smiles on the children’s faces.’ Nikki Kinzelmann
Caddington staff, students, parents and governors all play their part and it is this ‘team effort’ that helps us achieve such fantastic results. One of the key parts of this team is the Friends of Caddington Village School. We urge all of our parents to consider getting involved with their work.
